If you book with us, you will be touring with one of us as your own private tour guide – your guide will begin the dialogue with you so they can get to know you before you arrive to best design the tour around your interests.
We love to be flexible, and although we may provide you with a suggested itinerary, covering the must-see places, learning about the history and culture of the city, trying some delicious local cuisine and finding the hidden gems that you only see with someone who knows the ins and outs of the city… Our main goal is for you not to feel rushed and to enjoy your time exploring the city – we can keep things as flexible as you like. We can offer a unique and personal perspective (and speak perfect English, plus a few other languages as well). Do let us know in advance if you have any special requests and we will do our best to include it for you. Every tour is based around you!
We love to share our city with you, and as locals we are able to navigate you with ease on the public transport or in a private car, we can help you to get the most out of your time in Hong Kong. Be it with solo travellers, couples, groups and families – we customise for everyone. We have many itineraries for one, two, three days or more exploring the Hong Kong and Macau. Most of our tours are by foot, but we also provide premium air-conditioned vehicles for when you have just a short time or have accessibility needs.
We love meeting cruise ship passengers docking at Kai Tak or Ocean Terminal – and we will ALWAYS meet you at the ship, and never ask you to make your way to a central meeting point. We can provide you with a fantastic shore excursion to transport you into the city quickly and make the most of your short time in the city.
Meet Todays Guest, Amy Overy
Amy is a Hong Kong resident and founded of Hong Kong Greeters in 2012. The company has entered the TripAdvisor Hall of Fame twice, having received the Certificate of Excellence six years in a row. She loves connecting with the people she meets and has made many firm friends from all corners of the world.
Amy originates from the UK and had both her children in Hong Kong. Her Cantonese is still a work in progress, but she has developed a deep knowledge of Hong Kong’s history and people. Sharing these insights with overseas guests and being your friend in Hong Kong is what she is most passionate about as she believes there is no better way to enjoy your time in the city.
She is an extremely experienced guide, developing customized tours for the last seven years. She can work with you to provide an itinerary in any corner of Hong Kong and for any size of group, big or small. She is also a driver-guide – perfect for a layover tour or a short stop in Hong Kong (with luggage!)
