Peter Syme built and exited a string of adventure travel businesses across Scotland, Spain, and Morocco, including Splash White Water Rafting, one of Scotland's leading rafting operations. His companies introduced more than 200,000 customers to adventure travel.

He has run Huddles in Charleston, Scotland, Madrid, and Porto, and operators describe his sessions the same way every time: hard-nosed, honest, and built entirely around making the business more profitable. He is also a sought-after speaker on digital leadership and AI in tourism, has travelled to over 130 countries, and has twice crossed more than 1,000 miles of the Gobi Desert on foot.

Each track (inbound/outbound) is its own cohort of eight to twelve operators, with its own guest coach drawn from scaled multi-day tour companies.

We've got a few names in mind already, operators who've built real businesses well past where most attendees sit now. Each track gets one coach, chosen once we know who's in your cohort and what they need most.

The Schedule

No trust falls, no vision boards. Just the work that gets you a plan.

Pre-Arrival: Virtual Session

Each track meets Peter online before Porto, up to two hours. You introduce the business, name the growth question, say what you want to leave with.

October 21 — Arrival

Check in through the day. Late afternoon, the cohort heads into the city together. Evening: welcome dinner, a round of toasts, each operator naming what they came to work on.

October 22, 23, 24 — THE WORK

Four working sessions a day, built around a long midday lunch. You build your four strategies with your cohort, Peter pressure testing your numbers as you go. Evening out together each night.

OCTOBER 25 — TAKE OFF

Pair up and stress test each other's four strategies, line by line. Then the sweep: each operator commits to the growth plan they built, and names the first move they're making in the next 30 days.

30 DAYS AFTER - DID YOU MOVE

Report on the first move from your plan. Peter and your cohort hold you to it.

60 DAYS AFTER - WHAT'S WORKING

Check the plan against what's actually happening. Fix what isn't.

90 DAYS AFTER - WHERE YOU STAND

Final check-in on the growth plan you built in Porto.

The curriculum

Partner Channels & B2B

Buying every booking gets old fast, and it gets expensive. You build the trade relationships, agents, referral partners, whoever sells alongside you, and figure out how to make your trip the one they push first. Then you price the commissions so the channel actually pays you back.

Digital Visibility

How travelers find a trip has changed, and it's not slowing down. You figure out where they're actually looking now, search, AI answers, social, and make sure you're the one they find and trust. Then you fix whatever's costing you bookings.

Pricing and Product

You don't need to charge more to make more. Redesign trips around the high-value stuff you actually run yourself, stop outsourcing the parts that bleed margin, and price what's left properly.

Operational backbone

If the business only runs because you're in the middle of every booking, that's not a system. That's a bottleneck with your name on it. You get your bookings, guests, and numbers organized into one structured place, so automation has something to actually run on.

Outbound is for operators taking travelers abroad. Inbound is for DMCs and local operators hosting travelers in their own destination.

We read every application ourselves. You’ll get an invitation or a spot on the waitlist once your cohort review is done, in early August. 

We look at the shape of your business, your market, and who else has applied, and build each cohort for fit. A strong application can still get waitlisted if the mix is wrong for that group.

After acceptance, we’ll ask for a $500 non-refundable deposit to secure your spot. After that, we’ll agree upon a payment plan that suits your finances. Full payment is due 30 days prior.

No. The program fee covers the five days of sessions, the pre-arrival call, and your three follow-up calls. Lodging, most meals, and travel to Porto are on you.
