(If you know all this scroll down for our directory of upcoming Clubhouse rooms for tour operators.)
Tour Operators discuss the pros and cons of Clubhouse.
Now you can listen to a Clubhouse session and decide for yourself if this is for you! This is a session we recorded with tour operators who share their advice.
Clubhouse is a (sadly for now) iPhone-only voice-chatting and audio app where individuals can host and join different conversations.
Upon opening the app, you are greeted with a list of “rooms” that you can join, or you can create your own room.
Rooms are organized by a different topic or theme and often hosted by an expert or pioneer in the field. (Be warned the ‘influencers’ are all over this. The cool thing is you don’t need to shave and shower before joining as It’s all just audio, no video.
Think about it as joining in on a live podcast episode or for those of us of a certain vintage, listening to a radio phone-in show where you can call in. At the time of writing conversations are not recorded though we expect that to change soon. If you hear speakers who interest you, you can follow them so you can interact with them again.
We don’t know if this is going to be a fad, a flash in the pan or here to stay but as we are seeing more and more clubhouse for tour operator rooms cropping up, we decided to create a Clubhouse for Tour Operators and travel professionals. Setting up a clubhouse room for tour operators? Drop me a line and I will gladly include it on this page – email@example.com
There are not many bells and whistles on this page yet but happy to add some if you feel this is a good resource.
Feel free to follow me @shanewhaley on Clubhouse. I do have several invites if you need one.
